Texas Toast Sloppy Joes

Just hearing Texas Toast Sloppy Joes makes me hungry. I make my own sloppy joe recipe and I must say it is delicious.

Brown 1 lb hamburger in fry pan till no longer pink, then add 1/4 cup onion and green pepper.

Add 1/2 t. garlic powder, 1/2 t. chili powder and 1/2 t. black pepper. Stir to mix into meat. Add 1 8 oz. can tomato sauce and 1/2 cup ketchup.

Add 1 t. Worcestershire  sauce.

and 1 T. brown sugar and 1 t. vinegar. Mix all ingredients together. It is looking yummy already.

While simmering the sloppy Joe meat make texas toast according to package directions. I used Pepperidge Farm.

Serve sloppy joe meat on top of Texas Toast with a fist full of cheese on top…..nothing could get better than this.
